Results 30 May 2021 Khanacross and Motorkana

Under ominous skies fourteen drivers lined up for the 5th round of the Douglas Shire Motor Sports Association’s khanacross and junior motorkhana.

The club welcomed back returning member Simon Taylor who last competed as a junior some fifteen years ago as well as new members Pat Barnett and the Smith family.

Wrong directions were the order of the day for the first run with four drivers forgetting where to go directly after the look lap.

The ever present threat of rain materialised half way through the 7th and 8th runs and with times ballooning out and the inability of cars to make it up the hill it soon became apparent that the day would have to be called off.

Rick Ranscombe won the rain effected event ahead of a very impressive performance by Cain Perry in second place. John Kenna rounded out the top three.

Bruce Perry was once again beaten by both his teenage sons.

Tully Smith was the only driver in the junior motorkhana and impressed in only her first event.

The club’s next event is on 20th June, weather permitting!
