20th June 2021 Khanacross and Junior Motorkhana
Clear skies finally greeted drivers at the clubs June khanacross and junior motorkhana, although it was a tad cool.
The club welcomed several new members with Dylan Crapp, Dylan Furche, Anet Ridley and Eli Smith all having their first run at the challenging Mossman Track.
The junior motorkhana was hotly contested. With instructor, Shane North guiding the youngsters their times improved throughout the day and the smiles on their faces grew bigger.
Despite a late flourish of fastest times by Dylan Furche Tully Smith held on to win by seven seconds with Eli Smith rounding out the top three.
Defending Club champion,”Quick” Rick Ranscombe continued on his winning way taking out the khanacross event. He was pushed hard by John Kenna and Bruce Perry who finished second and third respectively.
Junior driver, Cain Perry continues to impress finishing fourth outright, a mere 14 hundredths of a second behind his dad.
Seth Perry and Daniel Andrews rounded out the Junior class.
Krista Kenna won the ladies class ahead of Kara North and Mackenzie Barry.
Other class winners were Rob Bassett- rear wheel drive, Rick Ranscombe- front wheel drive and John Kenna- all wheel drive.
Shane Buchanan had a day that he would probably like to forget, blowing another cv in his Mitsubishi on just the first run of the day.
