The 19th November 2017 Khanacross and Motorkhana results

Nearly as many juniors as adults lined up for the round eleven khanacross and junior motorkhana on Sunday 19th November.

The club welcomed back former club champion Greg Erwin and his two son’s Flynn and Max along with new members Max and Jake Nulley and Jonah Gawn.

Also competing for the first time was Stu MacDonald’s son Oliver.

Fresh from his trip back from Melbourne, Heath Barry was on the pace early recording fastest times on the frist two runs. From then on Rick Ranscombe showed what he can do in his Nissan Pulsar SSS recording fastest times on every run for the rest of the day.

In a faultless display of driving skill Ranscombe ran away with the win finishing over twenty seconds ahead of second placed Greg Erwin. Erwin’s second place finish shows that the 2015 champion has lost none of his skills in his two years away from racing.

More gearbox issues for Barry’s Micra allowed Flynn Erwin to sneak into third spot and take the final spot on the podium.

Cain Perry won the junior motorkhana ahead of brother Seth, good effort considering that it was only there second event while Max Erwin showed that racing must run in the Erwin family by finishing third.

Despite having to leave early and not finish the event Oliver Macdonald showed some good speed in his first event and could be a driver to watch in coming years.

The Associations last event for the year is on 3rd December
